Roadtrip 2016 Fall: Vancouver - Yakima - Bend - John Day River - Port Orford - Florence - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 49 - Heceta Beach, Tahkenitch Creek

The morning breaks sunny over the Heceta beach Parking lot.

The peeps are out in force to walk off all their turkey dinners. Although this seems like some sort of reverence to the sea ceremony.

The decor in our little seaside hut is definitely beach house.

After that glorious morning - the rains return. We go for a drive about - hoping for a lift off.

None in sight - the heavy skies persist.

We decide to walk regardless - at Tahkenitch Trail. It rained the entire time. We were soaked - even though the trail stayed mostly in the cover of the trees. I made this one photo of an amazing moss laden spot on the trail, otherwise fearful of drowning my digi cam. The path reminded me of the Mossy Temple in Japan - carefully tended by the monks. Here of course it's all au naturel!
